91»Æ¹ÏÖ±²¥ was delighted to welcome Michael I. Ohajuru for its annual Black History Month lecture. Michael's lecture was entitled 'The Black Presence in Western European Art: From Subjects of Capital to Makers of Culture'. By traversing a wide range of artists and artworks, Michael reflected on the legacy of black representation in European art and its importance for promoting diversity within art today.
Michael is a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, distinguished public historian, co-convener of the series 'What's Happening in Black British History' and will shortly be publishing the 'Guide to Black London'.
